\"\"<\/a>Q\u2026 With all the uproar about boycotting Chik-Fil-A because of their stand on the \u201csanctity of marriage\u201d, I am tore between not eating there but my cravings of their chicken sandwiches, waffle fries and the return of their peach shakes are making it almost irresistible to stay away! What do I do?<\/p>\n

CQ\u2026I used to love their whole menu myself but immediately took a personal stand to not give them my business when I found out about where portions of my money were going over a year ago. You may not think it\u2019s the same but there are other chicken sandwiches in the area that are not fried up with bigotry and hatred. There are other locations with great waffle fries as well. And the peach shakes, honey\u2026 There are plenty of fruity shakes in this area. \u201cMy Milkshake brings all the boys to the yard!\u201d So as you can see there are ALWAYS substitutes for ANY of your cravings! Or is there?<\/p>\n

Q…Cousin Query, I have a problem! I thought gay people are supposed to act certain ways. If I don\u2019t fit a stereotype, am I still gay?<\/p>\n

CQ…Umm, YES! You are still gay if you even have to ask the question. We have relied on pop culture to try to label us in certain groups and give us certain personalities. We are all different gays and no two of us are the same. Just like there are no two breeders* that are the same. This is what gives us our individuality. Be who you are comfortable being and don\u2019t feel so pressured to fall into a certain clique or mentality. BE YOU!<\/p>\n

Q…I feel so alone. Who can I talk to?<\/p>\n

CQ…I too have felt alone so many times, even to the point where I feel like I can\u2019t turn to anyone. I quickly have to snap out of that and realize that there is always someone there. Whether I have to pick up the phone, go somewhere or go online to chat with someone on Facebook or a chat room. GLSO has many opportunities for you to take advantage of to feel wanted, accepted and even get involved in regardless if you are gay, bi, lesbian, trans, questioning, straight, or whatever you identify yourself as. There are also many other organizations who have people you can talk to such as The Trevor Hotline. Please know that there is always someone to talk to don\u2019t ever get to the point of feeling completely hopeless. Just pick up the phone or go treat yourself to somewhere fun and meet someone new.<\/p>\n
