Court Kentucky\u2019s 30th Year coming to close"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Imperial Court of Kentucky is preparing to wrap up yet an-other year of fundraising in the Bluegrass as we approach Coronation 31 in June.\u00a0 The Imperial Court of Kentucky has been in existence for 30 years here in Kentucky.\u00a0 Through the years we have built community relation-ships, raised money for charities in need and provided a social outlet to any and all accepting of the GLBT community.\u00a0 All of this came from those humble beginnings established by our Kentucky founders, Marlon Austin and Greg Butler.<\/p>\n<p>Each year, beginning with our first Monarchs, Empress Julie Vaughn and Emperor Ray Allen, we have held an annual Coronation Ball.\u00a0 It is at this time that our membership elects the next Monarchs to represent the Imperial Court of Kentucky and her community for the next year.\u00a0 At this time we are proud to announce the candidates for Mon-arch, campaigning for Emperor 31, Duke Big D Lyons, and campaigning for Empress 31, Imperial Crown Princess 30 Trinity.<\/p>\n<p>We invite you to get to know your candidates and share with them your thoughts and aspirations for the Imperial Court of Kentucky.<\/p>\n<p>Now, when is this magical evening called Coronation?\u00a0\u00a0 Well, that\u2019s a multiple part answer as it involves an entire weekend of activities planned for the community to enjoy.\u00a0 Coronation weekend begins on Friday, June 1, 2012 and lasts through Mon-day, June 4, 2012.\u00a0 You can see a full schedule of events taking place each day during this week-end by visiting our website at<a href=\"http:\/\/www.imperialcourtkentucky.org\" target=\"_blank\"> www.imperialcourtkentucky.org<\/a> and clicking on \u201cCoronation 31\u201d on the left sidebar.\u00a0 Or you may join us on our Facebook page where all of our events are listed as well.\u00a0 Dignitaries and Courtiers from across three nations will convene here in downtown Lexington to help us celebrate another year of fundraising for our community.\u00a0 This is your chance to meet new friends from places far and wide that share a similar goal and inter-est in funding GLBT and GLBT friendly charities.<\/p>\n<p>Our membership is 107 individuals strong and we invite each of you to join us this June to provide your voice and participate in the Coronation of your new Monarchs, whoever that may be.\u00a0 Voting for Monarch candidates takes place on the night of Coronation on Sunday, June 3, 2012 just outside of the 2nd Floor Grand Ballroom of the Lexington Downtown Hilton.\u00a0 Eligible voters will have maintained membership in good standing beginning on or before November 30, 2011.\u00a0 Voting will begin shortly before Coronation begins at 6pm.\u00a0 But please, join us for a Meet and Greet cocktail hour at 5 pm outside of the ballroom.<\/p>\n<p>Our theme for Coronation 31 is \u201cA Red Carpet Affair: A Night with the Silver Screen Academy.\u201d\u00a0 So, break out those evening gowns, tuxes and suits and join us for a night to remember as we take you for walk down the ICK Walk of Fame.<\/p>\n<p>For ticket purchase, please see
