Here’s hoping you Holiday Season and New Years Eve was Happy and Safe!!!
I know I can speak for Daryl and the Royal Family of Reign 31 when I say we could never have imagined the level of support and dedication we have experience so far during the reign. To date we have had an INCREDIBLE first half of Reign 31. The shows/events in December 2012 included the Annual AVOL Kid’s Christmas where Reign 31 set a new record for funds raised at this show!!!!!! Raising over $4000!!!!! Helping to provide gifts and an all around brighter Christmas for 64 children in our community.
We also worked with the GLSO to put on “A VERY, FAIRY CHRISTMAS”. Bringing together members of both organizations and raising money for the GLSO and the Pride Festival this summer. With performances by the ladies of Reign 31 and a special performance by La Pearl and her beautiful,LIVE, vocal performance !!!
And to round out our 2012 fundraising efforts, we put on The Miss/Mr Mary Christmas event. Where we crowned STRATOSPHERE, the newest Miss Mary Christmas. This year to add a little TWIST to the Holiday season, we decided to include the Drag Kings of the community by also adding a Male impersonation portion. So make sure you Congratulate RYDER JOHNSON, your 1st ever MR Mary Christmas!!!!!
As we begin 2013, we will pick up where we left off……. With another “pageant” and “contest”. On January 6th, we will have our first event of the new year with The Inner Diva pageant. A pageant geared towards the Women of the ICK that enjoy performing in Drag!!!! You know all those girls with that INNER DIVA hiding inside!!!
So we hope you’ll join us at Pulse Nightlife as we see who will become the next winner of INNER DIVA!!! You can catch HMIM Emperor 31 Daryl BIGD Lyons at Crossings this month for his Trivia night with the Emperor on January 17th. Always a fun night with Daryl, his co-host, some cocktails (of course 😉 ) a little trivia, probably some more cocktails, and a whole lot of fun!!! And finally on January 23rd, we will be hosting the 2nd annual KING OF DRAG contest. This is THE contest for our Drag King members. This will also be at Pulse Nightlife.
